was your points of view. And then, even though you'd argued until you were blue in the face to prove your point, a few days later you found out you were wrong. Ever had this happen? In my world, instead of arguing, I live by the simple saying, Isn't that interesting. When someone brings up a point I don't really agree with I just say, Isn't that interesting. Here's the basis for this entire position in life. For there to be up, there's down, left, there's right, and so on. If I have to prove myself right, I'm cutting off all possibility that there might be a better way. So, as you read, remember, you don't have to agree; just see it as interesting. And now it's possible that you'll learn a better way. Business Is Fun! If you're going to play the game of business, I will give you just three pieces of advice. First, learn the rules. Second, keep score (both of these are covered in this book) and third, have fun (that will come as a result of reading and implementing the advice in this book). So many people treat business as a life and death struggle and then discover that that's exactly what it has become. You go into business for whatever reason, but most of all, it's to give yourself a better lifestyle. More money, more time, more freedom, and then, if you're like most people, you let the whole thing suck you up and the game plays you, instead of your playing the game. Give yourself a break; it's a game. Have some fun. Enjoy yourself. Always keep fun as one of your primary aims. In other words, if you're not enjoying what you're doing, either decide to start enjoying it, or get out. How often do you hear of immensely wealthy people who lead miserable lives? Success comes in many forms, and it's important to remember that money isn't a panacea for happiness. It's imperative to keep some balance in your life, and this often means keeping your business in perspective. It's not life or death, and the more you view it accordingly, the more success will come your way. 3
