little older you realize that it's probably not polite to say, I know out loud to everyone. So as an adult we listen politely, all the while in the back of our mind saying, I know. You probably even cross your arms. Forget that mind-set: It's what you learn when you think you know everything that counts. Intelligence is the ability to draw even finer and finer distinctions on a certain subject. Remember how that movie you saw more than once, or that book you read several times, was different the second time around? One of the fastest ways to make sure you never learn anything new, never grow, and never create more income for yourself is to continually state that you know everything. Open up your mind; it's not the major realizations that'll make you a fortune. It's the fine distinctions that give you the edge over the rest of the population. Her reply, I'm not sure. My mother used to do it. A week went by and they visited her mother for dinner, and you guessed it, lamb roast for dinner. So he asked, Why do you cut the ends off the lamb roast? Her reply: I'm not sure. My mother always did it. So he made a phone call to his wife's grandmother and asked, Why do you cut the ends off the lamb roast? Her reply; Well, I've only got a small baking tray. So, often we do things just because it's the way we've always done them, having absolutely no idea why it was done that way to start with. When other people zig, you've got to zag. Following the crowd will almost certainly lead you to slaughter. But you'll also notice it's rare for eagles to flock together. 5
